On Monday, October 3, 2011, armed rebels attacked Taganito Mining Corp and Platinum Group Metals Corp in Claver, Surigao Del Sur.  Reports reveal that the rebels destroyed offices, equipment, barges and other small vessels.  There have been reports that locals and foreigners were taken hostage.
